Our new patch, Spirit of the Desert, is officially registered and ready for us all to join.  Our first meeting will be held Thursday, October 11, 2007 at 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.  We will meet in the Ocotillo Room at the Sun Lakes Oakwood Arts & Crafts Center.  That room is reserved for our use the second Thursday of each month – so be sure to mark your calendars.

Meetings will include member participation in demonstrations, “Show & Tell” for as many of us who want to share a current project and discuss problems, mistakes and solutions, and techniques.  We will also share information on new products, vendors and classes.  Janet Hayes and Shirley Greber volunteered to develop workshops that will be available for our members, and will be looking for input on what we are interested in learning, possible times to hold the workshops, etc., so don’t forget to bring your calendars to each meeting.

$10 Patch dues are payable at the first meeting.  Members of our patch will also be required to belong to the Arizona Gourd Society, we will have the AGS applications at the meetings.
