The Southwest Gourd Association meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the Maricopa County Extension Office, 4341 E. Broadway, Phoenix. The meetings are in the evening, starting at 7 p.m., and usually over by 9 p.m.
Receipt of the SWGA newsletter, "Birdhouses and Beyond", is automatic with payment of annual dues of $15. A newsletter subscription only is $10 per year from the date of subscribing.
We encourage anyone interested in the growing, culture, crafting or fine art of gourd design, to come join us at our monthly meetings or contact us via SWGA06@yahoo.com. There is usually some scheduled activity for each meeting, a guest speaker, craftsman, or artist; a gourd design technique in the form of a demonstration or hands-on workshop; and best of all we just have a good time. Please bring any questions you might have and by all means, bring
some of your work to share with the group.
If you are interested in joining the SWGA, just come on into the meetings and pick up a form there. You DO NOT have to be a member to be a welcome participant in meetings of the SWGA.
